Arise Clinical Psychology is a private psychology practice in Fremantle WA, which has significant experience and interest in working with adolescents and young adults (in particular ages 12 – 25). Dr Kath Boekamp is the Principal Psychologist. Our psychologists have worked in both public and private sector environments.
All our staff are Clinical Psychologists who have a minimum of six years (Masters level) of University training, which is then followed by a mandatory 2-year period of supervised registration. Our Clinical Psychologists are required to continue to upskill and participate in supervision to ensure ongoing registration. All Clinical Psychologists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. This ensures that the specified standards of competence and ethical practice are adhered to.
Psychologists who have completed Masters (plus) level training have specialised knowledge, skills and expertise in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions.
The Psychologists at this practice specialise in the assessment, treatment and prevention of a wide range of emotional, behavioural and interpersonal issues, in particular with adolescents and young adults.
The most common reasons people see a psychologist for are depression and anxiety, and with 1 in 4 people being affected by these issues, seeing a Clinical Psychologist is more common than most people realise.
